Here is a pic of a trinket box i did up for my DH to replace the one that we had stolen ,still not sure why they would take something like this as there was no value to it .Anyway I was given a bunch of greenware and some bisque from my DGF's husband after she passed away and this was one of the pieces .

Here is a pic of the blanket that I did up for our youngest son's girlfriend for christmas .This is one of those tie blankets where you take two blankets and cut all around the outside and then tie all the strips together . I have to say all the work was worth it when we saw how much she liked it :o)

Well the other day the ladies in one of my groups was chatting about having the frog come to visit her as she had to do a lot of rip-it rip-it , now I realize they were talking about having to rip out some stitching but I was sitting outside and stitching and this little fellow happened to hop up on the chair beside me and watch for a bit so I had to snap a pic and ask would you like your frog back home again lol :o)

I have kept my identity a secret all these years chatting with all my friends because to be totally honest I am ashamed at how i have gone over the years (but trying to change that even at this old age ) .As I could not say no to pics being taken at our DD's wedding they are now being seen quite a bit so for those of my friends who are not on Facebook here I am with our DGD Cheyenne and she does look every bit the princess that she is :o).I have another princess DGD but she was not there that day as her daddy was busy and wouldn't have been able to keep track of her .The head and eyes of the one little boy you see are of Nathan the son our our oldest son's girlfriend and that wee bit of blonde you see are of our grandson Austyn

Hi everyone
Well I have asked the daddy of the little girl i watch for pemission to show the pic I am stitching of her as it progresses and the final piece and he has said yes :o) . So here goes .I started about the end of June and after 2 weeks I had managed to get 8 rows done as you change colors almost every stitch in it ,but after looking at it Iwas not happy and changed the material and after a week I am at 6 rows now and happy with how it is looking so far .So this is the first of many pics of this piece to come.Out of all the pieces I have done over the years this has to be my biggest piece

Well here is my last entry for tonight . The two cakes you see here are the ones I had our
youngest son make for me for our DD's wedding shower. He didn't think he did a very good job on them but I thought he did and so did the guests as well . He has never made a straight cake like these they have always been the novelty ones .I was very proud of the work he did on them
(and they were delicious as well lol )

Well here is the newest view of one of my other gardens.Again a bit more color but not much . As much as I try I have not been able to get them to look like they did the second year we were here .

It has been a few days since I last wrote but it has been a busy few days .I thought I would show you a bit more color in the yard now .It has been slow getting the flowers up this year as it was
really wet for a while and then it turned dry and hot so the gardens have not had the right temps but things are starting

Well here is one more for the night and this is what I like to call my favorite spot in the yard:o).
the lawn swing is where I like to go to stitch ,and down in the corner is where I have a little bench and another child's picnic table , the grandkids and the little girl I watch like to call it the bubble blowing area lol . The tree that sits right in front of the lawn swing has a momma robin in it so Miss Emmy and I have been able to watch the little birds each day as they get their meals from momma .As Miss Emmy says worms yumm yumm NOT !! lol

Well that's it for the night , I am off to do some stitching .

This is another view of the side yard , the little one I watch calls it the play park lol .The tree is with the baby swing on it is a lovely Beech tree with great shade once the leaves are out and underneath i have lots of flowers there as well .

Well here is the last pic for the night .this is the spot for the new garden.That pile of dirt is where or at least where I hope the new garden will be once the flowers are all grown .With alot of crossing fingers and toes that the grow there as well as they have in my other flower beds

This is another view of the same yard. I have to take several pics to get it all . what you are seeing now (I know the pic is small ) is my lawn swing where I love to stitch in the summer time .the trees that surround it have flowers around them so I get a nice view of the humming birds .

Well I am going a bit off of my stitching for a min and show some before pics of our yard . I am hoping that as the spring and summer go along they will be come much more colourful :o).This is my other passion is my gardens . this pic shows a spot in our yard that the little girl I watch and our grandkids ,well just about every child that comes in this yard seems to love , especially in the summer as it is very cool on a hot day. You can't really see it but there is a bench as well as a child's picnic table there and the beginning of my garden that goes along the fence line .Very soon there will also be a large bird house/condo (it is an extremely large house that we really didn't think the birds would use but do lol .

I went to my mail box today and look what I found in my mail box .This came from the notions club I am in .There was a new member who joined and sent this to me .

Well while my computer is being nice to me i am going to press my luck and show some more stuff so here goes . Here is another gift I received from the notions club I was in :o) . In this package was also one of those thread cutters that you could also wear as a necklace which will be perfect outside this summer as I am always leaving my sissors on the swing when I come in :o)
